A week of intensive workload! Being engaged in sponsorship affairs, I’ve been discussing with Samson about strategies and directions and drawing up sponsor letter during these two weeks. Knowing about the executive board’s meeting and their arrangement as well as last year’s overall situation, I realized at some point that HC students, especially some of us, contribute so much to our events. That’s touching and gave me full energy and passion in working for HC. On Wednesday, we had our first leadership workshop. Everyone was in black hoodie and with great passion. Most of us were busy adjusting projectors, setting up the site or talking with seated freshmen. While we were playing games with freshmen, I recalled the scene last year, where Year 2 HC students showed their great creativity and communication skills. How time flies! I really feel that I’m on the way to become a better SERVANT LEADER and pass the spirit on. The most exciting part was Violet’s birthday! It was very kind and humorous of Professor to pretend giving announcement in order to gather all classmates. I was so touched by this lovely family. We do regular LEAP project on Friday. Nice to see old faces! Who is the spy in English was really fun as well as challenging. But it was a pity that we didn’t spend enough time promoting this week, otherwise we could have more people joining us. So we group 3 has been discussing how to enhance promotion. At the same time, the second leadership workshop is being intensively prepared. Several of us in charge walked around the campus or got teachers’ permission to orally promote the workshop in classroom. It’s been a busy but wonderful week, I felt happy because of our solidarity and passion. And all these experiences explain clearly to me, what is and how to become a servant leader. |
