Since last week, we’ve been working on the project proposal, the coming workshop and HC talent show. It was very impressive when every body in our HC community coming up with various ideas and discuss in great passion.
For the Project, or we call it Mission, we group 3 got the idea from a famous Japanese novel, where people get psychological support through a magical mail box. I could feel the warmth inside every body when talking about bringing warmth and care to others in UM. But after we received the kind reminder from Professor Udani about our lack in professional skills and other possible problems, we realize it had to be revised or transformed.
During the process, what I found interesting is that we gradually embrace it as a genuine mission, as we really got to think about the needs of UM community and the best way to serve them rather than completing the project. Although we are now apart during spring vocation, we have video call to do group discussion. Finally, we decide on a project helping students develop oral English skills as well as interpersonal skills and world citizenship, in the form of English corner. It’s worth mentioning that we cooperate with students entrepreneurship so that we enjoy food when talking.
I took a look at other groups’ proposals, all of which are meaningful and creative. We just spread over in different areas, providing a comprehensive set of service to the UM community. How amazing it is! I see all of us are walking on the way toward gratitude and giving.
It’s very nice of Joy to arrange a nice discussion and a voting form for the talent show. Every body is respected and engaged in the whole event. The atmosphere was kind of casual and relaxing. That made me look forward to coming April, which would definitely be busy but unforgettable.
The workshop is still under discussion. Thanks to folks who contributes to the integration of materials and ideas, and who push discussion online when most of members are busy enjoying the vocation. lol.
